Pat Drew, MS, LCSW is an affiliate of Gail Golden Consulting, LLC. Pat is the Principal of Pat Drew & Company. Her areas of expertise include senior-level coaching, senior team alignment, and preparing executives and organizations for transitions. For over twenty years she has coached executives in the media, pharmaceutical companies, consumer product companies, financial and professional services, real estate, communications, not for profit organizations and academia.
Pat’s experience in helping executives achieve strong business results was acquired as Director in Human Resources at the New York Times for 20 years, Manager of Training at the New York Psychiatric Institute of Columbia University and most recently with Guttman Development Strategies, a leadership development firm.
Pat’s work supports global leaders and their teams with tools to take them through transitions and challenging times. For example, prior to foreign assignments, she provides briefings and workshops for employees, families, and managers to facilitate the rapid integration of these individuals into their new work location. When their assignment is complete, she works with them to ensure their successful re-entry. She teaches executives to thrive in high-stress assignments, such as the Katrina disaster, where she prepared and debriefed all the writers and photographers who covered the hurricane for The New York Times.
At Columbia Business School, Pat is on the faculty for the “Managing Global Account Certification Program,” an Executive Coach with the Program on Social Intelligence and a speaker on Career Management. She is on the faculty of the Sulzberger News Media Executive Leadership Program at Columbia Journalism School. She has Masters Degrees in Psychology, Social Work, and European History.
